Frank M Gouse Sr. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 15th, 2020 at the age of 91.
He was born in Pennsylvania to John and Edith Gouse where he grew up and met his future wife Lucy Boyer. They married in 1956 and had 3 children then in 1975 they moved out West with a short stay in Idaho, and then eventually settled in the Bitterroot Valley. Frank started a paint contracting business with his children, which his son still runs today.
He had a wonderful long life of fishing, hunting, camping, travelling and enjoying his family. He and Lucy traveled all over the country from Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between.
He left us with many great memories and gems he repeated, “one day at a time,” “can’t take it with you,” “ do your best and leave the rest,” and “think positive and love the Lord with all your heart,” to name a few. Frank had a great sense of humor and a joke for everyone. Frank enjoyed meeting and talking to people. After he retired, he especially enjoyed his coffee buddies at Super One every morning for conversation. He truly loved the Lord and was ready to go to heaven to be reunited with his wife Lucy. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, parents and all his siblings.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and church members. He was the kindest and most gentle man and the best dad ever. He is survived by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
A private burial has taken place.
