Lorraine (Lee) T. Morgan, 85 of Hamilton passed away March 23, 2019 at Community Medical Center in Missoula. She was born July 29, 1933 in Centerville, Minnesota the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Husnik Lichtscheidl.
Lee was raised on a family farm in the Hugo, MN area. She graduated from Forest Lake Senior High School. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colorado and later met the love of her life, Jerry Morgan. They were married on April 30, 1955 at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver. In 1963, the family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming with a transfer of Jerry’s company, where they lived for 10 years. They enjoyed going camping as a family and family vacations in the summer. Jerry’s company transferred them back to Thornton, CO in 1972, where they stayed until their move to Corvallis, MT in 1998.
After being a stay at home mother until their two daughters were in Junior High, she decided to go back to work, first as an assistant in the Merritt Hutton Junior High library and then as the receptionist at the Adams County School District #12 administration office. Lee moved into Hamilton in 2009, a few years after Jerry’s passing.
Lee loved to play scrabble, words with friends and do jigsaw puzzles. She loved to laugh and loved her family with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry Morgan and brother, John Lichtsheidl.
Surviving include her daughters, Tamara Morgan and Tanya (Morgan) Cook and husband Mike Cook; granddaughters, Ashly (Cook) Anton and husband Elvis, Nicole Cook and Maddie Cook; great grandsons, Jared and Alex Anton; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Father Jim Connor officiating. Private urn placement will take place at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula.
