CORVALLIS - Darlene “Dolly” Auch of Corvallis peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2019.
She was born on May 28, 1932 in Isabel, SD to John and Elizabeth Maier. Her childhood was spent in Yakama, WA and Missoula. She met Edmund Auch in Missoula to whom she later married on September 19, 1952. Together Ed and Dolly raised their five boys in Missoula, Lolo, and later settled in Corvallis. Dolly loved being outside and setting the pace while working alongside the guys! She was known not only for her undeniable work ethic, but also her playfulness and humor. Dolly had a strong faith in God that she shared with her family and friends. She also enjoyed staying abreast on current events. One could always count on Dolly’s opinions of various subjects ranging from family, politics or football. Dolly was a devoted mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and aunt who loved, and was loved by all.
She is survived by her sons, Allan (Sandra), Stacey (Marilyn), Marty (Kim), Dwight and Kelly (Melanie); sisters, Esther Edwards of Florence and Ruby Sample of Boise, Idaho; brother, Larry Maier of Electric City, Washington; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Dolly’s life for friends and family will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm, at the Daly Leach Chapel community room in Hamilton. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
